I met an interesting guy yesterday. Down to earth guy from Hong Kong. We had "dinner" and drank some beer before he rushed off to some party. He's gay by the way and I liked him a little bit. But maybe that's the last I'll ever see of him.
Had trouble understanding him though.
Getting buzzed led to me and Ivy going out. We initially went to Chi @ The Lodge but we didn't like the crowd. We ended up in Submarine and just started dancing like crazy. As usual the people who hit on me were those I didn't like. One of them smelled. I ended being groped. Constantly.
What is WITH groping? I understand why, but that doesn't justify it. I am VERY uncomfortable if someone suddenly plunges their hands in my jeans in public. VERY uncomfortable. I say "no" and I'm accused as being "shy." WTF. I also ended up dancing a little too intimately with some guy. The bouncer pushed us apart. Whoops. i forgot i'm in dubai.
It got pretty wild.
This, by the way, is the first time I really got drunk here. I woke up suddenly after falling asleep, ran to the toilet, and threw up.
I went to work earlier with a hangover from the depths of hell and draped my upper body over my desk for a full two hours.
What? I'm allowed to be juvenile, irresponsible, and hedonistic sometimes!
Here’s how I see it.
Here you are, two people in the universe, honoring each other’s existence. How else can I say it? You find someone who you fall in love with. He becomes your representation of everyone else that ever was, is, will be, and love him because he stands as everything that’s beautiful in the world. It’s you and your man. Celebrate how fucking great living is. Show him how you see the world. Let him show you how he sees the world. Bask under star lit skies with him and share between yourselves the wonder of being alive. Yearn to hear his laughter as much as he yearns to hear yours. Seek to see him thrive as he seeks to see you thrive. Stumble and grow together. And later, when both of you are old, look back and be happy that you were together all the way. He didn’t “complete” you. He made you realize you’re already complete.
Oh yeah, and of course there’s also the wild animalistic sex part. But that shouldn’t be a huge part of it.
I just sensed it last week, and now, it's beginning to happen. You know the feeling like when you just sense a whole series of events have started and it's all cascading into something big? Like a domino effect? this "feeling" I've had has been giving me actual proof over the last few days.
Oh well. I accept the fact that LJ content may "not be in accordance" to this country's religion, laws, and all that. Let me move on.
I just finished playing through 19% of that game. IT. IS. AWESOME. I don't really like using the word "awesome" too much cause it's too American (and I've never even set foot in America), but I don't know how else I can describe the game.
My pic for the day:
We left at 7:00 a.m. The bus ride wasn't boring because the people were buzzing and screaming like kids who ate too much candy and downed 4 red bulls.
She remembered how, as a little girl, her mother had forced her to
go out with bread to feed the poor and, later, how Brother Narev of
the Fellowship of Order had shamed her into working tirelessly to
serve the endless needs of people. No matter how much effort she
put into solving the problems of all those who were needy, their
problems only seemed to grow, outpacing her ability to satisfy
them, binding her ever tighter in slavery to the growing ranks of
those in need. She was taught that, because she had the ability, it
was her duty to ignore her own wants and needs and to sacrifice
her life to the wants and needs of others. Their inability, or
unwillingness to try, made them her masters
